What customers say?

“ My family loves monjayaki, and ever since our favorite restaurant closed due to the old owner's advanced age, even when we went to the original Tsukishima, it was only so-so, and we'd occasionally say we missed delicious monjayaki. Wow!! After moving to Kunitachi, we finally found it. This restaurant employs a monjayaki master. Tsukishima is famous, but apparently there are no monjayaki masters there anymore. "Some people can even see this far." I see, now I understand. The master's monjayaki was cooked with speed and precision, and his work was truly beautiful. He'd been preparing it for 10 days, and he said, "The flavor's already there, so please enjoy it as is." It was the best monjayaki I've ever had. Next time, I'd like him to make okonomiyaki as well. Apparently it takes 20 minutes. The restaurant has a very old-fashioned, Showa-era feel. I was a bit concerned about the dust in front of the mirror in the bathroom. You have to be a little lenient with the oil in the restaurant. But even so, it was so delicious... I'll definitely go again. ”

“ It's about 10 minutes down Hoshasen-dori Street from the south exit of Kunitachi Station. My friend has been coming here for 30 years. The restaurant is spacious, but the building is very old. It seems they've been renovated and expanded many times. The layout is a bit odd in places, but the overall feel is very Showa-era, so if you like that sort of thing, you'll enjoy it. I've posted a photo of the menu, and it's got a huge selection. In addition to the main dishes of okonomiyaki and monjayaki, and drinks, they also offer sweets and a la carte dishes. And it's cheap. The all-you-can-eat option is 1,480 yen for men and 1,380 yen for women. Even with the all-you-can-drink alcohol option (1,200 yen), it's still far from 3,000 yen, making it an incredible value. So, what about the food? It's absolutely delicious. It's a hidden gem, so I don't want it to be crowded, but I have to give it 5 stars. ”

“ It was my first time here. I'm glad that they offer the all-you-can-eat and drink option for parties of two or more. The monjayaki and okonomiyaki had a wide variety of toppings to choose from, so it was a little hard to decide, but everything was delicious. The yakisoba is really authentic, as you can season it to your liking using the salt, pepper, sauce, green laver, and mayonnaise provided on the table. The interior has a retro atmosphere, and the busy-looking staff were all very friendly and I had a great time. I'd definitely like to come here again. ”

“ The quality is so high you wouldn't believe it's an all-you-can-eat restaurant. The monjayaki is carefully cooked by a Tsukishima chef, which is amazing (apparently this service is only available on weekends and holidays). I was also surprised at how reasonably priced it is. When I called on the day, I was told they were fully booked for the day and I would have to line up, but I was able to enter without having to wait in line. I'll definitely go again! ”

“ My kids love okonomiyaki, so I go there occasionally. Their monjayaki is more famous, but it's so hot that it's difficult to eat with small children. However, the other day I ordered monjayaki for the first time, and they even gave me a complimentary lesson on how to cook it. After paying, you can also make your own cotton candy, which my kids will love. ”

“ I'd known about this place for a while, but I regret not visiting sooner. It was so good! The monjayaki was delicious! Other reviews said that the chef basically cooked the monjayaki for me, and that was certainly the case. It was truly a work of art. They carefully explained the process and cooked it quickly and precisely. I thought monjayaki would take longer, but it was completed in a flash, and I was delighted to be able to eat it right away. The owner, I believe, repeatedly mentioned that monjayaki restaurants are nowadays selling instant imitation monjayaki everywhere. I also liked the sense that this restaurant prides itself on serving the finest monjayaki. I ordered their most popular dish, and it was truly delicious. They refer to the burnt, hardened parts as "senbei," and it seems like it would be nice to snack on these crackers while drinking. The interior of the restaurant has a sense of history in a good way, and people may like it or not, but I personally think that this atmosphere is part of the charm. ”

“ A friend recommended this place to me! It was better than any other monjayaki restaurant and had a professional taste! If you like monjayaki, it's definitely worth a visit!! The soft serve ice cream was also incredibly rich and delicious! ”
